Financing FAQ
I already have a quote from Custom Fireside — how do I apply for financing?
Open the Custom Fireside customer portal using the link in your estimate email, review your quote, and tap the Synchrony financing option built into the approval flow. You can also apply directly for the Project Card through the “Apply” button above or by calling 916.331.2423 and we'll walk you through it.
Can I combine financing with sale pricing or discounts?
Not always — promotional pricing, seasonal discounts, and manufacturer rebates may not be combinable with Synchrony promotional financing. The specific combination allowed depends on the promo and your quote. Your estimate from Custom Fireside will show the final price with financing applied. If you want to compare financed vs. cash-discount pricing, ask us for both numbers side-by-side before you decide.
Can I use Shop Pay Installments for showroom purchases?
No — Shop Pay Installments is only available at online checkout on customfireside.com. For in-store or quoted purchases, use the Synchrony Project Card through our customer portal.
Does applying for Synchrony affect my credit score?
Yes — Synchrony performs a hard credit inquiry when you apply for a Project Card, which may have a small, temporary impact on your credit score. Shop Pay Installments uses a soft check that does not affect your score.
What happens if I don't pay the Synchrony balance in full by the promo end date?
Interest will be charged retroactively from the purchase date at the standard APR, so it's important to pay the full balance before the 6, 12, or 18-month promo period ends. We'll help you plan a payment schedule that pays off the balance in time.
Can I combine financing with air district rebate vouchers?
Yes — air district voucher programs (SJV, Placer, Yolo-Solano, Feather River, El Dorado) can be combined with Synchrony financing on the balance after the voucher is applied. See our Rebates page for details.
What if I don't qualify for either option?
Call us at 916.331.2423. We can discuss other options, including a layaway-style payment plan on larger install projects.
